They are more durable than polycarbonate lenses - virtually unbreakable thanks to NXT technology, they are lighter, the material is resistant to chemicals such as gasoline and acetone, and they are photochromic for life. This is because not only is there an added photochromic layer on the glass, as with conventional self-tinting glasses, but the technology is already part of the glass itself.
