The Julbo Aero is ultra light, ultra powerful, ultra comfortable. Aero doesn't compromise and you don't have to either. Their hinged design provides incredible ventilation by facilitating the passage of air between the glass and the frame. Zebra photochromic lens: Suitable for fast shadow-to-light transition. Ideal for hiking, skiing, trailrunning, climbing... Photochromic lenses are self-darkening, i.e. they adapt themselves to the surrounding weather within a pre-defined range of solar intensity. Thanks to NTS technology, the tinting is activated not by the ambient temperature but by the intensity of UV radiation. Julbo divides self-tinting lenses into five different types depending on the activity and purpose for which the lens is intended. Compared to polycarbonate, they are more durable - virtually unbreakable thanks to NXT technology, they are lighter, the material is resistant to chemicals such as gasoline or acetone, and they are photochromic for life. That's because not only is there an added photochromic layer on the glass, like with regular self-tinting glasses, but the technology is already part of the glass itself.
