FENIX 18650 3400 mAh (Li-ion) USB-C - rechargeable batteries

The Fenix 18650 3400 mAh rechargeable battery with its own charging USB-C connector (ARB-L18-3400U V2.0). It can be charged by plugging the cable into the USB-C connector (e.g. from a computer or mobile phone charger) or in a charger that can hold Li-ion batteries with a length of 72 millimeters. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterized by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge.

Warning, this battery is about 72 millimeters long due to the added USB-C charging connector, making it significantly longer than regular 18650 Li-ion batteries. So it only fits in some flashlights, headlamps and chargers.

Fenix battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. The added electronic circuits prevent the cell from overcharging, over-discharging and against short circuits or excessive current draw. If the battery electronics assess that the limits have been reached, they safely disconnect the cell.

Internal protection consists of a separator, PTC thermal protection and a special explosion-proof valve. In the event that the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator separates the electrodes inside the battery, thus de-facto interrupting the exothermic reaction and the anti-blast valve releases the excess gas pressure outside the battery.

The combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection makes Fenix batteries one of the safest Li-ion batteries available.

Charging via USB-C connector
Plug the USB cable into the side USB-C connector, the indicator light on the top of the battery glows red during charging. When the battery reaches full charge, it glows blue. When using a USB power supply with a current of 1500 mA or higher, the charging time is approximately 2.5 hours.

Caution
- The battery is approximately 72mm long, please check first if it will fit your device!
- If possible, do not discharge the battery below 2.5 V
- Do not short-circuit the battery (do not connect the cell poles with a wire)
- Do not throw the battery into fire or water
.- Never insert the battery pack into the charger in reverse (opposite polarities)
