They are ballistically tested by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The goggles combine perfect eye protection and perfect vision with wide interchangeable lenses. A dioptric lens holder can be attached to the frame.

The smoke gray coloration with 15% light transmission is suitable for bright sunny weather, minimizes glare and does not distort colors.

The clear lens is suitable for less sunny days with poorer lighting conditions. It has a high light transmission - 89% - and also provides UV and glare protection without any colour distortion.

FULL RIM SYSTEM
Full Rim System frames wrap around the entire lens. (Unlike Top Rim System frames, which are attached only to the top edge of the lens.) Full Rim System frames are designed to accommodate dioptric lenses (RX Ready), and on some Wiley X models this type of frame is compatible with the FACIAL CAVITYTM SEALS removable sealing system. Frames are made of TriloidTM nylon fibers that are virtually indestructible. Some certified models have feet reinforced with double reinforcement. The Rim Protection System ensures that the lenses will not fall out of the frames even after a hard impact. The frames are U-shaped (U-Shape) so they fit perfectly on the face and do not form any indentations.

The Wiley X Nerve tactical goggles have been specially developed for sports and professional shooters.

1. Certified to the ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT standard, the goggles must withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm diameter steel pellet fired at 164.6 km/h. The unbroken lens shall remain firmly seated in the frame of the goggle and the frame shall remain undamaged.
   
   
2. Goggles certified to EN.166b shall withstand the impact of a 6 mm diameter steel ball weighing 0,86 g and fired at 432 km/h. The unbroken lens must remain firmly seated in the frame of the goggle, and the frame must remain intact.
   
   
3. Like the beams, the sides (feet) of Wiley X goggles are coated with a special rubber surface on selected models. This ensures that the sides adhere perfectly to the skin behind the ear and do not slip off the face even during demanding movements.
   
   
4. Some Wiley X models are marked with the "Black ops" symbol. This means that the entire goggle has no shiny material on it and the wearer cannot be betrayed by the glare of the sun's rays. This feature is especially appreciated by armed forces and tactical units.

Wiley X goggles are tested and certified by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) for heavy body impact resistance (High Mass Impact Test). Glasses with this certification are subjected to the impact of a 500 g heavy projectile dropped from a height of 127 cm. CHANGEABLE LENSES
Different lighting conditions require different types of glasses. But as a rule, you don't always have two or three types of lenses on hand, depending on the vagaries of the weather. That's why some models of Wiley X goggles allow you to change lenses. For example, you can very easily change from light lenses with high light transmission to dark polarized lenses when the weather changes. And vice versa. The change is made by simply snapping them on. This feature does not reduce the level of durability and safety for which the lenses are certified.
