The Kestrel 38 is designed for medium-length trips or adventures where you only have a moderate amount of gear. Access to gear is easy with a side zipper on the side of the pack that makes it easy to get to the main compartment. The Kestrel 38 also features a top lid with a drawstring closure. There is also a bottom compartment for a sleeping bag. This compartment can be separated or combined with the main compartment.

The back system of the Kestrel has been designed for maximum comfort and stability. It is complemented by a massive waist belt. This allows you to carry even heavy loads comfortably in the pack. The adjustable design then allows you to easily adjust the height of the back panel.

The Kestrel 38 is equipped with a number of places to store essentials, including nylon-reinforced bottle pockets. There are zipped pockets on the waist belt, a large pocket on the front, a pocket on the lid and a key pocket.

Other essential equipment includes a removable rain cover, Osprey Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole mount, compression straps, sleeping pad straps, snowshoe clips and several tightening loops.
