The Smarter is designed as a superstructure for beginners or less experienced circuit breakers. It does not allow the belayer to put his hand with the belaying end of the rope over the belayer, because in this case the self-locking function of the Smart 2.0 is significantly reduced.
Once the breaker has safely mastered the technique of feeding and retrieving the rope, it can be removed from the breaker again. Smarter does not restrict the use of the belay device in any way. It can only be used with Smart 2.0.
