They are made of 8 ounce core yarn canvas and provide ample cooling to the shins. The material is resistant to flaking (mossing), does not abrade the legs and does not damage the shins when walking.
The stiffness of the canvas allows the top of the protector to be unzipped without falling off. The attachment of a very strong, laminated and abrasion-resistant stabilising tape increases the comfort of use.
