And since many people have asked us about this before, let us be clear at the outset: Yes, this is the largest species of deer in the world, a large European elk with huge, wide antlers - also known as moose in North America.
We worked hard to improve our previous recipe and came to the conclusion that we needed to offer a version of elk jerky that was not flavored with any additional spices that might obscure the meat's original and wild flavor. The moose meat used in our products is sourced from the forests of Scandinavia and the Baltics and is 100% sustainably hunted wild game meat.
This wildness is felt in every bite of this delicious and lightly smoked snack. The other main ingredient is sea salt - neither too much nor too little - just the right amount to bring out the harmonious gamey flavour of this exclusive meat from the first moment you taste it. All in all, our dried elk meat is the perfect snack for anyone who appreciates the naturalness of dried meat!
Ingredients: elk meat (Alces Alces) (91.3%), sea salt, white wine vinegar, stabilizer (citrus pectin). For 100 g of dried meat, 275 g of elk meat is needed.
