Unior's hand tool program produces more than 10 million tools and sheet metal cases per year. It is the successor of a rich blacksmithing tradition in the Pohorje region and north-eastern Slovenia. In the 19th century, several forges were established in the Pohorje region to produce agricultural and craft tools, whose work was related to the four ironworks in the area, and the first factory for forged tools was established in the early 20th century, in 1919.
