FENIX HM61R - Rechargeable Headlamp

The Fenix HM61R Amber is a high-performance rechargeable headlamp that offers up to 1200 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500K) with a range of up to 145 meters, and it also features red LEDs. It is powered by a single rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh, which is recharged directly in the flashlight via a magnetic connector; two disposable CR123A lithium batteries can also be used for emergency power. The battery also has a built-in micro-USB connector so it can be easily charged outside the headlamp without the magnetic cable.

There is an indicator LED built into the control button so you will always know when to recharge the battery. The end of the flashlight is magnetic so it can easily be attached to anything metal. The HM61R has eight different lighting modes, allowing you to choose between high power and long lasting (up to 400 hours). The flashlight is powered by a digitally controlled constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the battery voltage is reduced (when the batteries are slowly discharging).

The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and at the same time is fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters under water. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a pocket or work torch. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a steel removable clip, so you can easily attach it to your pocket or strap. The Fenix HM61R multifunctional flashlight is the ideal companion for a variety of sporting activities, outdoor excursions, and home and work.

The HM61R Amber version is specially adapted for the Czech and Slovak market, and differs from the standard version in the following three points:

1. The battery is also equipped with its own micro-USB connector.
2. The diode has a neutral shade of light instead of a cold one.
3. The control is modified so that the headlamp can be switched directly to both white and red light

All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproof, range, and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
The off headlamp will turn on to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
The off headlamp will turn on to the last used red light mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
When the headlamp is switched on, the headlamp is switched off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
When the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through in the order of 5 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 1200 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 1 lumen - red 5 lumens - red flash (when switched on to red light) by short presses of the button. The flashlight has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (valid for both white and red light).
Battery indication. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If the light is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% of capacity remaining. The indication only works correctly with rechargeable 18650 batteries.

Overheat protection
When operating in turbo mode (1200 lumens), the power will slowly start to decrease to 900 lumens after one minute. If the temperature exceeds 65°C, the headlamp will start to reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, the power will gradually increase again.

Charging
Plug the charging cable into the USB connector of your computer, mains adapter or car. Attach the cable to the charging plate on the headlamp, it will attach itself with magnets. The indicator light on the cable glows red during charging, and glows green when charging is complete. The headlamp can be used in all modes even during charging, but the charging time will be adequately extended. Charging a fully discharged Fenix ARB-L18-3500U battery takes approximately 4 hours.

Discharged Battery Warning
If the battery voltage drops below 3V under load, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will light up red, but the headlamp will continue to light up until the battery is fully discharged. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries only.

Lock the headlamp against unintentional switching on
Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp a quarter turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the flashlight yourself, it will violate the warranty.
If using a disposable CR123A battery, do not try to charge it in the flashlight.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
If the flashlight blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The battery is almost dead - charge it or replace it.
The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The back of the flashlight is loose - tighten it.
