FENIX HL32R - Rechargeable Headlamp

The compact Fenix HL32R rechargeable headlamp delivers up to 600 lumens (ANSI) of light and a range of up to 73 meters. Power is provided by a built-in 2000 mAh lithium polymer battery that charges via a micro-USB connector directly in the headlamp. The light source is an advanced Cree XP-G3 LED with a warmer shade of light (neutral white) and a red Nichia LED.

The advantage of the neutral shade of light is a more natural and contrasting color rendering in nature. The main LED is housed in an optic that produces a wide smooth cone of light, ideal for applications such as hiking, climbing, work use and running.

There are a total of 9 power modes, including an SOS flash mode for emergency situations and two red light modes. The headlamp maintains IP66 water resistance, so it can withstand heavy rain without any problems. The headlamp strap is equipped with reflective elements that ensure good omnidirectional visibility when moving on the road.

On the inside, a rubber fabric is woven into the strap to ensure a stable and comfortable fit on the head. With a weight of only 108 grams, the Fenix HL32R is thus great for hiking, running, camping, photography, climbing, as a headlamp for fishing and other activities. All headlamp parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproofing, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
Holding the right (main) button for 0.5 seconds will always turn the headlamp on to the lowest 4 lumens mode. Additional presses of this button can be used to switch between the 4 - 30 - 70 - 130 - 300 lumen modes at any time during operation.
Holding the left (smaller) button for 0.5 seconds will turn the headlamp into red light mode. Further presses of this button can be used to switch between red light, SOS and red flashing modes.
Battery charge indication - after a short press of the left button (the headlamp must be switched off) the LED battery charge indicator on the top of the headlamp is activated. Four lit LEDs indicate that the battery is charged to more than 80%, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing LED indicates that the battery is charged to less than 20%. The LED indicator will also light up briefly when the headlamp is turned on with the right button.
Overheat protection - Operation on Burst mode is limited to 1 minute at a time, after which the headlamp will return to the previous light mode.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on e.g. when transporting in luggage - hold one or both buttons pressed for 3 seconds. The red LED will then flash 4 times. To unlock, hold both buttons again for 3 seconds.

Charging
Unclip the rubber cap of the micro USB connector on the back of the headlamp and use the included USB cable to plug it into a computer, USB AC adapter or USB car adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a micro USB connector can also be used for charging.
During charging, the four indicator LEDs on the top gradually light up, after a full charge they all light up permanently.
Charging time for a fully discharged battery takes approximately 4 hours.
The Li-pol battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the headlamp can be recharged at any time.
Seal the USB connector cap thoroughly after each charge.
The headlamp can be switched on during charging, but only to 4 lumens mode.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty.
If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The battery is almost dead - charge it.
